Is omega 3 good for diabetics?

My doctor recently said my blood sugar is on the higher side, and I should look into supplements to support my health. Someone mentioned omega 3. Is it truly beneficial for people who are pre-diabetic or have diabetes?

Omega 3 is excellent for heart health, which is very important for diabetics. Since most fish oil options are non-veg, you can look for premium veg Algal oil or just stick to chia seeds and walnuts. Just keep an eye on your overall fat intake.

I heard omega 3 is super good for managing those lipid levels that always go crazy when you love eating! Obviously, it won't cancel out the gulab jamuns, but it is a good step. Definitely ask your doc if you can add it to your daily routine.

I used to panic every time my doctor suggested a new supplement, thinking my diabetes was getting worse. But omega 3 is actually very standard and safe for heart protection. Don't worry, just consult your doctor for the right brand and dosage.

Yes, it is great for managing cholesterol which often links with diabetes! It keeps your blood vessels happy. Just talk to your doctor once to see if it fits in your current prescription plan.

I know how overwhelming it is to manage diabetes and constantly search for what is safe to consume. Omega 3 is generally very supportive for cardiovascular health in diabetics. But to ease your mind, run it by your doctor before starting.
