Is olay soap good for eczema?

My skin has been really dry and itchy due to eczema, and I'm looking for a gentle soap. Someone suggested Olay soap. Is Olay soap good for eczema, or should I avoid it?

I went to a specialist at Max Hospital for my skin issues. They strictly advised against using any standard scented soaps, including Olay, during an eczema flare-up. You should show a proper dermatologist before trying any cosmetic soap.

I have eczema too and even mild Olay body washes made my skin red and burning. Did anyone else get bad rashes from it? I am so scared of trying new soaps now because my skin reacts to everything.

For eczema, normal soaps have too much perfume which can cause itching. Instead of Olay, try using a very mild baby soap or just standard Cetaphil cleanser. It is much gentler on the pocket and the skin.

Eczema, like high blood pressure, often gets worse with stress and a bad diet. I wouldn't rely on cosmetic soaps like Olay. Focus on keeping your stress low, drinking enough water, and getting a medical opinion.

Olay is regular beauty soap, not a treatment for eczema. If you have real eczema, skip the fancy supermarket stuff. Buy a proper soap-free cleanser from the pharmacy like Aveeno or Sebamed. Save yourself the trouble.

Most Olay bars contain fragrances and sodium laureth sulfate which can strip the skin barrier. My skin doctor told me that eczema-prone skin needs syndet bars with a neutral pH. Look for brands that have the National Eczema Association seal instead.

Please be very careful. I once ignored my dry patches and kept using regular moisturizing soaps, which led to a severe weeping skin infection. Don't experiment with cosmetic brands; go to a doctor and get a medicated ointment immediately.
