I know how incredibly stressful it is to manage diet when dealing with kidney disease, as almost every healthy food seems to have potassium or phosphorus. It feels like you can't eat anything safely. It is a very hard phase, but with a dietitian's guidance, you will find a safe balance.

Hey, don't stress too much! While oats are healthy, they do contain phosphorus and potassium, which can be tricky with kidney issues. Just check with your doctor once to see what your daily mineral limits are. It is always better to be safe than sorry, buddy.

When my father was being treated for renal issues at KMC Hospital, the renal dietitian advised us to strictly limit oats because of his high serum phosphorus levels. Please ask your nephrologist clearly before adding oats to your daily menu.

With kidney disease, self-managing your diet can be very risky. Even a small excess of potassium or phosphorus can cause serious issues. Please get your regular blood tests done and get your diet cleared by your doctor for absolute safety.

I love experimental cooking, but kidney diets are no joke and leave very little room for cravings. Oats are sometimes allowed in limited portions depending on the stage of kidney disease. It is best to get a customized meal plan from a professional.
