Is oat flour good for diabetics?

My doctor told me to cut down on refined flours because of my diabetes. I was thinking of switching to oat flour for my rotis. Is oat flour good for diabetics, or should I look for other options?

Don't worry too much about managing your diet, it gets easier with time. Oat flour is better than white flour because of the fiber, but it can still cause a spike in blood sugar if you eat too much. Just pair it with some healthy fats or protein to keep your levels stable.

Beta, oats are good but oat flour is digested very fast, which can sometimes raise sugar levels. It is better to mix oat flour with chana flour (besan) or barley (jau) to make rotis. Also, keep drinking methi water in the morning to keep things balanced.

Hey, don't stress too much about cutting out everything you love! Oat flour is a decent option, but just watch the portion size. Try mixing it with some almond flour or seeds so your sugar stays in control. You got this!

My dad has diabetes and we tried oat flour rotis, but his sugar spiked quite a bit. Honestly, regular oats are fine, but when you powder them, they digest too quickly. Better to check with a doctor or a proper dietitian.

I have been managing my diabetes for over twenty years now. In my experience, processed oat flour can sometimes cause sudden sugar spikes compared to steel-cut oats. Always test your blood sugar two hours after eating to see how your body handles it.

Bro, oat flour still has a decent amount of carbs. If you are diabetic, you need to be careful with the quantity. I use it occasionally for baking, but I always mix it with pea protein powder to balance the macros.
