Is noxzema good for eczema?
My little sister has eczema, and we've tried so many creams and remedies. My aunt suggested trying Noxzema. Is Noxzema actually good for treating eczema, or should we stick to prescription creams?

Noxzema has ingredients like eucalyptus and menthol which can feel very cold but might actually irritate raw, broken skin. For eczema, using basic coconut oil or a fragrance-free moisturizer like Cetaphil works much better and is easily available.
I wouldn't recommend it for eczema! 🙅♀️ The strong fragrance and menthol might cause a burning sensation on sensitive patches. Stick to super gentle, hydrating creams instead.
With my PCOS, my skin is already very unpredictable and prone to sensitivity. Eczema is quite complex, so I would suggest avoiding strong eucalyptus-based products like Noxzema and checking with a skin doctor first.
Noxzema is imported and quite expensive in India anyway, plus it might worsen the rash. It is much more practical to buy a budget-friendly medical moisturizer like Venusia or liquid paraffin which works perfectly for dry skin.
Definitely not a good idea. Eczema requires specialized barrier repair creams, not deep-cleansing cold creams with camphor and menthol. Save your skin the trouble and see a proper dermatologist.
Please don't experiment with these cosmetic creams. When I visited the dermatologist at Apollo, they clearly told me that eczema needs medicated steroid or non-steroid ointments depending on severity, not over-the-counter face washes.
I agree, Noxzema is too harsh for eczema because of the strong active ingredients; a plain thick emollient is much safer.

I also have eczema-prone skin and tried it once, but it made my skin super dry and red. It is better to use creams that are specifically formulated to repair the skin barrier without any added perfumes.
I was also planning to try this for my dry skin patches but got scared after reading about the burning sensation. Did anyone else get a bad reaction or flare-up after using it?
In my experience, when I applied a tiny bit on my dry patch, it started tingling and itching like crazy. I washed it off immediately and have stuck to basic dermatological creams since then.
