Is mustard good for diabetics?

My wife has diabetes, and we're always looking for things she can safely eat. We use mustard in some of our cooking for flavour. Is mustard good for diabetics, or should we be careful with it?

Hey, my dad actually uses mustard oil and mustard seeds in almost everything. I read somewhere online that it doesn't spike sugar levels because it's super low in carbs. Still, don't just go eating spoonfulls of mustard sauce because those packed ones have hidden sugar, chill out and ask a doc.

Mustard is generally considered safe and has some good nutrients for overall health. You can easily use it in moderate amounts in your daily cooking. Just make sure to keep a regular track of your sugar levels and stay in touch with your doctor.

I have tried everything from methi water to karela juice for my sugar. Mustard seeds in daily tadka are good for digestion and don't harm your sugar levels, but honestly, no single home remedy can replace proper medicine and portion control. Do your regular walks and keep taking your prescribed medicines properly.

Honestly, at this age, every second thing is either a miracle cure or poison for diabetes, it gets so tiring! My wife puts mustard seeds in the tadka every single day and my sugar level is still the same old story. It is fine to eat as normal food, just don't expect it to magically cure your diabetes overnight.

In our family, we use mustard seeds and curry leaves for every dish we make. My grandfather always said it helps with metabolism, but when my mother developed diabetes, we made sure to consult her diabetologist first. The doctor said using it normally in cooking is perfectly fine, but never skip the prescribed medication.
