Is mouth tape good for sleep?

My wife complains I snore a lot, and I often wake up with a dry mouth. Someone suggested I try mouth taping for better sleep and to stop snoring. Is this really a good and safe practice for improving sleep?

Honestly, I tried it for a week because of some viral videos, but it felt super uncomfortable. It might help with nose breathing, but if you have a blocked nose, it just feels like you can't breathe.

It can promote nasal breathing, which is generally better, but please be careful. If you have sleep apnea or nasal congestion, taping your mouth can be quite risky, so talk to an ENT doctor first.

I tried many things for my snoring and mouth tape did help me breathe through my nose, but the adhesive irritated my skin. Try using a very gentle medical tape first if you want to experiment.

Doing pranayama before bed naturally clears your nasal passage so you don't mouth-breathe. If you have chronic snoring or breathing issues, skip these internet trends and see a doctor.

I understand wanting to try anything to get better sleep, as insomnia is so exhausting. But the idea of taping my mouth actually gave me panic attacks, so listen to your comfort levels.

Those fancy mouth tapes online are overpriced anyway. If you want to try it, just buy cheap surgical micropore tape from your local chemist for 20-30 rupees instead of wasting money on branded ones.
