Is motrin good for fever?
My younger daughter came home from school with a fever. My wife remembered someone saying Motrin helps with fever, but we're not sure. Can Motrin be given for fever?

Honestly, Motrin can work, but never take it on an empty stomach because it can irritate your gut quite a bit. I always make sure to have some simple khichdi or warm oats before taking any such medicine. Also, drink plenty of water to flush things out.

Please be very careful with Motrin. My brother took it without checking, and it messed up his stomach linings, leading to bad acidity issues. If your fever is high or staying for more than a day, just consult a doctor instead of self-medicating.

Beta, in our times we mostly relied on paracetamol and warm cold-sponging for normal fevers. Motrin is okay occasionally, but don't make it a habit for every small temperature rise. Rest is the biggest healer, so just lie down and let your body fight it.

It does help with fever, but don't forget the basics. Along with the pill, put a cold, wet cloth on your forehead and drink warm tulsi-ginger water. It really helps to bring the heat down naturally and keeps you feeling comfortable.

Ugh, fever absolutely destroys sleep, doesn't it? I think Motrin helps with the body aches too so you can actually close your eyes. Just don't stay up scrolling till 3 AM like me searching for side effects, just take a pill if your doctor agreed and try to sleep!
