Is menudo good for diabetics?

My neighbour, who also has diabetes, told me that menudo can actually be good for health. I'm a bit confused, I thought it was a heavy dish. Is menudo good for diabetics, or should I avoid it?

Honestly, I'm not familiar with Menudo, but for diabetics, it's generally best to stick to foods with low glycemic index. Always check the ingredients and carb count. Also, mild exercise like walking after meals really helps manage blood sugar, if your doctor says it's okay.

Diabetic diet is very tricky. I had some issues because I wasn't careful with what I ate. Before trying any new dish, especially something I don't know much about, I'd suggest consulting your doctor or a dietician. It's better to be safe than sorry, mere dost.

Menudo is a Mexican soup, right? Usually, it's quite high in sodium and can have a lot of fat depending on preparation. For diabetics, processed meats or high-fat foods are generally not recommended. Always prioritize fresh, whole foods.

Bhaiya, hamare gaon mein toh yeh Menudo naam ki cheez nahi banti. Par doctor saab hamesha kehte hain ki cheeni aur tel waali cheezein kam khao. Apne ghar ka bana saaf-sutara khana sabse achha hota hai sugar ke liye. Apni sehat ka dhyan rakho.

Yaar, Menudo is not common in India, so it's tough to say without knowing the exact recipe. But actually, for diabetics, focusing on a balanced diet with lots of veggies and controlled carbs is key. Maybe check for a similar Indian dish that is healthy?
