Is meloxicam a pain reliever?

My mother has been having a lot of trouble with her back pain. The doctor prescribed Meloxicam, and we're confused about what exactly it does. Is Meloxicam specifically a pain reliever, or does it also help with inflammation?

I can only share my own experience – my doctor prescribed meloxicam for my severe back pain a few years ago. It definitely helped me with the pain and reduced the swelling. Please speak to your own doctor to see if it's right for you.

Yes, it is a pain reliever, an NSAID specifically. My doctor gave it to me for a sprain. Did anyone else feel a little stomach upset with it initially? I was a bit worried but it settled down.

From my understanding, meloxicam acts to relieve pain by reducing inflammation in the body. While I find solace and relief in yoga and breathwork for daily aches, sometimes modern medicine is necessary for acute conditions. Always consult with your doctor for the right path.

Yes, it is a pain reliever, often prescribed for inflammatory pain. At Apollo, where I usually go, the doctors always explain clearly that it's an NSAID. Don't hesitate to ask your doctor all your questions directly. They are there to help you understand your medication.

Haan ji, bilkul! Meloxicam dard kam karne ki dawa hai. Mere mummy ko arthritis ka pain hota hai, toh doc ne yahi recommend kiya tha. Inflammation bhi kam karta hai na. Par doc se confirm karna hi best hai.

Ah, another friend for my aging body! Yes, meloxicam is a pain reliever, often for joint and muscle pains. My doctor gave it to me for my knee. It's good to have something that helps, but I always wish for a permanent fix, no? Haha.
