Is mango fruit good for diabetes?

My father was recently diagnosed with diabetes, and we're trying to figure out what fruits he can eat. He loves mangoes. Is mango fruit good for people with diabetes, or should he avoid it?

Here in the South, mango is very popular, no? My mother always said fruits are good. But for diabetes, my doctor told me it's okay in very small quantities. Like just a few pieces, not a full mango. It has natural sugars, so we must be careful. Always trust what the doctor says, dear.

Ho na, mango is sweet, so for diabetics it can be tricky. My aunt has diabetes, and she eats thoda sa mango sometimes. But not daily, and very small quantity. It's not like you can't eat it at all, but control is important. Always check with your doctor first, haan na?

Haan bhai, mango is tasty, but for diabetics, it has sugar. So it's not exactly 'good' in large amounts. Thoda sa kha sakte hain, as a treat, but zyada nahi. Best to ask your own doctor, kyunki sabki body alag hoti hai na.

Yaar, actually, it's not that mango is 'bad' entirely for diabetics. It's more about quantity. My uncle, who's diabetic, eats a few slices sometimes. But he makes sure not to have any other sweet stuff that day and usually has it earlier in the day. Too much can spike sugar, obviously, so control is the main thing.

Having dealt with diabetes for years, I can tell you that mangoes aren't a complete no-no, but you need to be smart about it. A small portion, about half a cup, is usually acceptable. I always pair it with some protein like nuts or curd to slow down the sugar absorption. And importantly, check your blood sugar after to see how it affects you personally. Self-monitoring is key.

Hey girl! Don't stress too much about completely cutting out mangoes. They're amazing! What I've heard is that diabetics can have them, but in moderation. Like a small serving, and maybe not every single day. Just chat with your doctor to get a personalized plan, okay? They'll know what's best for you.
