Is malaria an infectious disease?

My relative was very unwell with malaria last year, and it spread quite a bit in their neighborhood. Is malaria considered an infectious disease? Just want to know the correct terminology.

I totally get why you're asking this, it's important to know. Yes, malaria is definitely an infectious disease. It's caused by a parasite and spread by mosquitoes, so it can spread within communities if not managed properly.

Yes, it is an infectious disease, caused by the parasite and transmitted by mosquitoes. My family always taught me to be careful, especially during monsoon. But always trust the doctor for diagnosis and proper treatment for such infections.

Hey! Yeah, it totally is an infectious disease. So like, you can't get it from a hug, but mosquitoes carry it from one person to another. Don't stress too much, just be smart about mosquito protection!

Yeah, it's infectious. Like, mosquitoes pick it up from an infected person and then give it to someone else. Had it once, so I know how important it is to treat it properly and avoid spreading it further.

Yes, malaria is indeed an infectious disease. It's caused by a parasite and is transmitted from person to person through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes. This means it can spread within a population, making public health measures important.
