Is magnesium good for sleep?

I've been having trouble sleeping for months now, constantly waking up or finding it hard to fall asleep. My colleague suggested taking magnesium before bed. Is magnesium really good for sleep?

Oh, absolutely! I've been using magnesium for sleep for a couple of years now and it's made a huge difference. I take it about an hour before bed. It really helps calm my nervous system. Just make sure to get a good quality one, like magnesium glycinate. But of course, check with your doctor if you have any underlying conditions.

Yes, many people find magnesium beneficial for sleep. It helps regulate neurotransmitters that are directly involved in sleep and can calm the nervous system. Magnesium glycinate is usually a good form as it's well-absorbed and less likely to cause digestive upset. Always check with your GP or a pharmacist before starting any new supplement, just to be safe and ensure there are no interactions.

Beta, a good night's sleep is a blessing. Our elders always said to have warm milk before bed, which has a little magnesium. It helps to calm the mind. Magnesium tablets can be helpful too, but always ask your family doctor first. Natural methods are often best, but for supplements, take advice.

Absolutely, magnesium is a game-changer for sleep for many. It helps with muscle relaxation and anxiety, which are often barriers to good sleep. I personally use it and recommend it. But like with any supplement, a quick consult with your GP is always smart to ensure it's right for you.

Is magnesium good for sleep? My pillow thinks so! 😂 Seriously though, it really does help. I used to stare at the ceiling for ages, and now with magnesium, I actually feel sleepy. It's not a magic potion, but it definitely helps the body relax. Worth trying after a quick chat with your doc!
