Is lung cancer spreadable?

A relative of ours was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, and now my family is quite concerned. We're wondering if lung cancer is something that can spread from person to person, like a cold or flu?

No, it is absolutely not spreadable from person to person like a cold or TB. However, inside the patient's own body, it can spread to other organs very quickly if not treated in time. Please consult an oncologist immediately to discuss staging and treatment.

Please reassure your family that it does not spread by touching or sitting near the person. They need all the love and close hugs they can get right now. Just focus on keeping their room clean and dust-free so they don't get other infections.

It is completely non-communicable, so you can safely hug or share food with a patient. Just like my high BP, it's a chronic cellular issue, not an infection. Focus on keeping their lifestyle healthy and stress-free while they undergo treatment.

No, cancer is not contagious at all, so don't worry about catching it from someone. Instead, help them eat clean, immunity-boosting vegetarian meals to support their body. Always trust the doctors for the main medical care.

It doesn't spread to other people, so you can safely exercise or go for walks with them. Physical activity and fresh air can actually help their recovery if their doctor permits it. Keep supporting them actively.

I used to be so confused and anxious about whether cancer can spread through saliva or sharing utensils. It's a huge relief to know it's not contagious at all. Did anyone else also feel this worry initially before researching?

Chill, it is not infectious at all, you can't catch it like flu. My granddad had it and we all lived in the same room without any issues. Just be there for them because they need support.
