Is lung cancer a painful death?

My elder brother is suffering from advanced lung cancer, and his condition is deteriorating. We are all very worried about him and about what he might go through. I wanted to ask, is lung cancer typically associated with a very painful end?

With modern palliative care and pain management, doctors are very well-equipped to keep patients comfortable and pain-free. Focusing on gentle nutrition and a peaceful environment helps a lot during final stages.

I used to worry and stress so much about this when my relative was sick. But the doctors were so gentle and gave proper medications to control all the pain and discomfort, so she was very peaceful. Please don't worry.

Look, end-stage cancer can be difficult, but today's healthcare system has advanced palliative care specifically for pain relief. Doctors ensure that the patient does not suffer unnecessarily. Speak directly to an oncologist about comfort care.
