Is liver high in potassium?

My nutritionist advised me to increase my potassium intake. I was just looking at different food options. Does anyone know if liver is high in potassium? Trying to diversify my diet.

Yes, liver does contain a good amount of potassium along with other vitamins. But if you are looking to balance your body's salt and potassium, coconut water and bananas are much gentler on the digestive system. Always eat heavy meats like liver in small amounts as we age.

Please be very careful if you have kidney issues, because high potassium foods like liver can put a lot of pressure on the kidneys. I had a severe complication last year due to high potassium levels in my blood. Please consult your nephrologist or physician before eating this.

Liver is a nutrient-dense food that does have decent potassium levels, around 300mg per 100 grams. For most healthy people, this is a great way to meet daily mineral needs. However, if you are on blood pressure medications, just double-check with your doctor.

I completely understand why you are asking this, tracking mineral levels like potassium can feel so overwhelming and scary. Yes, liver is quite high in potassium, but unless your doctor has specifically told you to restrict it due to kidney or heart issues, a normal serving is safe.

Haan bhai, liver mein potassium achha hota hai, muscles aur heart ke liye toh badhiya hai. Par agar BP ya kidney ki tension hai, toh thoda limit mein hi khana chahiye, na? Ek baar check-up karwa lo toh best rahega.

Liver indeed has potassium, but if you find it hard to digest, you can get your potassium from simple potato soup or beetroot juice too. I always tell people that our home-cooked simple vegetables are much lighter on the stomach and give the same benefits.

Yes, liver has a high amount of potassium. It is good for nerve function but should be avoided if you have kidney concerns.
