Is liver good for u?

My gym trainer keeps talking about organ meats and how nutritious they are. He mentioned liver specifically. Is liver good for you? I'm curious if it's something I should consider adding to my diet for fitness.

It is rich in vitamins, but with conditions like PCOS, we have to be a bit careful about how much fat and cholesterol we consume. I eat it maybe once a month just for the iron. Make sure you consult your doctor or clinical nutritionist to see if it fits your specific body type.

My doctor at Max Hospital told me that while liver is a powerhouse of nutrients, it is not suitable for everyone, especially if you have high uric acid or heart issues. Don't just start eating it because someone online said it is a superfood. Ask your doctor based on your blood reports.

If you are managing diabetes, liver won't raise your blood sugar because it has zero carbs. But since many diabetics also have cholesterol or blood pressure issues, you have to be highly moderate with it. Try to eat it boiled or lightly sautéed instead of deep fried.

Bro, my gym trainer told me to eat liver for quick recovery, but the smell is honestly too much for me. It is definitely good for muscle building and energy because of all the protein and iron, but you need to know how to cook it right so it actually tastes decent.

Yes, liver is incredibly healthy and packed with Vitamin B12 and iron, much more than regular chicken breast. But honestly, the taste can be very metallic and polarizing. If you like it, eat it once a week, but don't force yourself if you hate the texture.

With high BP, I have to be very careful with cholesterol-heavy foods like liver. While it has great vitamins, the high sodium and cholesterol can be a bit much if your heart health isn't optimal. Better to have it occasionally and keep tracking your blood pressure.

Oh, mutton kaleji fry is absolute heaven with some hot parathas! Nutritionally, it is amazing for iron and energy, but let's be real, the way we prepare it in India with tons of oil and ghee makes it a heavy cheat meal. Enjoy it, but maybe keep the oil a bit low for daily health!

If you are asking this because you feel weak and think liver will cure your fatigue, please go get a proper blood test first. I ignored my constant tiredness for a year, thinking eating more meat would fix it, only to find out my kidney markers were off. Don't self-diagnose.

It is very good for health and also quite budget-friendly compared to other meat cuts. Just buying 250 grams of chicken liver once a week and making a simple stir fry with black pepper and curry leaves can do wonders for your hemoglobin. No need to buy expensive supplements.

Since I have thyroid issues, my metabolism is already slow, so I have to be very mindful of heavy meats like liver. It does have selenium which is good for thyroid, but I always get my TSH and lipid levels checked regularly before changing my diet. Do consult your doctor first.
