Is liver fibrosis the same as cirrhosis?

I've been reading about liver conditions online and came across 'fibrosis' and 'cirrhosis.' They sound similar, but I'm confused if they are different stages or the same thing. Is liver fibrosis the same as cirrhosis?

No, they are different stages of liver damage. Fibrosis is the initial scarring of the liver tissue, which is still manageable if we switch to a very clean, low-fat vegetarian diet. Cirrhosis is the advanced, severe stage where the scarring is permanent and can cause serious complications.

Oh god, please don't panic reading about this online! Fibrosis is basically the warning stage, while cirrhosis is when the damage has gone too far. If you have been diagnosed with fibrosis, please know you still have time to take care of it and prevent it from turning into cirrhosis.

Fibrosis is just the starting of stiffness in the liver, while cirrhosis is a very advanced and dangerous condition. For early stiffness, simple things like turmeric, drinking warm water, and avoiding heavy foods help a lot. But if you have severe swelling or yellow eyes, go to a big hospital immediately.

Absolutely not the same. Fibrosis is often reversible with lifestyle changes, cardio, and a calorie deficit. Cirrhosis is much more critical and requires strict medical supervision. Keep your activity levels high and discuss with your trainer and doc what exercises are safe for you.

I was actually researching this yesterday because my uncle got his reports. Think of fibrosis like a wound healing and leaving a small scar, whereas cirrhosis is when the whole liver is covered in hard scar tissue and can't function properly. They are definitely different stages of the same issue.
