Is liver cirrhosis a contagious disease?

My neighbour was recently diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, and some people in our building are a bit concerned about visiting him. I want to clear up this confusion – is liver cirrhosis a contagious disease?

Please don't worry, it absolutely does not spread from person to person. Cirrhosis is just late-stage scarring of the liver due to long-term damage like alcohol or fatty liver. You can safely hug your loved ones and support them without any fear.

No, liver cirrhosis is not contagious at all, so you don't need to isolate anyone or worry about sitting together. Just focus on giving them simple, home-cooked food with less oil and salt. Taking care of their diet and daily medicine is the best practical thing you can do.

Cirrhosis itself is not contagious, but remember that some underlying causes like Hepatitis B or C can be transmitted through blood or bodily fluids. To be absolutely safe and clear up any doubts, you should definitely talk to their doctor and get a professional opinion.

Nahi nahi, ye koi chhua-chhoot ki bimari nahi hai. Isse darna bilkul nahi chahiye. Apne bimar parivar wale ke paas rahiye, unhe pyaar aur accha khana dijiye, unhe aapki sabse zyada zaroorat hai abhi.

Thank god, no! My knees and back are already giving up on me, I don't need cirrhosis to be catching like a common cold. Rest assured, you can't get it by sharing a room or a cup of tea, so you can breathe easy.

It is not contagious, so no need to waste time worrying about catching it. Just make sure the patient is under a good gastroenterologist's supervision. Focus on managing their medication schedule and lifestyle changes efficiently.
