Is lisinopril bad for your liver?

My father has been taking lisinopril for his blood pressure for a few years now. Recently, he's been having some liver issues, and we're wondering if this medication could be the cause or if it's generally considered bad for the liver.

If you are on Lisinopril long-term, just plan for a basic Liver and Kidney Function Test every six months. These tests are quite cheap, around 800 rupees, and they will give you complete peace of mind that your organs are doing fine.

Lisinopril is for blood pressure, and it is mostly processed by the kidneys, not the liver. However, all allopathic medicines have some effect, so we must drink warm water and eat a simple, oil-free diet to keep our organs healthy.

Do not worry too much, stress itself is bad for your liver and heart. Lisinopril is a standard medicine and rarely affects the liver. Keep your mind calm, eat fresh fruits, and trust the treatment.

My father was just prescribed Lisinopril for his high BP. I am a bit worried about his liver health. Does this medicine cause liver damage, or is it generally safe for elderly people?

Listen, Lisinopril is processed by your kidneys, so liver issues are extremely rare with it. Don't stop taking your BP medicine out of fear; high BP is much more dangerous for your body. Just get your routine blood tests done and show them to your doctor.
