Is lemon juice good for kidney stones?

My chacha-ji recently had a kidney stone removed, and he told me that drinking lemon juice can help prevent them. I have had issues with stones in the past, so I am wondering if this is actually true. Does it really work?

I don't have time for complex remedies, but honest talk, fresh lemon water works well alongside your regular meds. Don't go for those store-bought packaged juices though as they have too much sodium. Keep a bottle on your desk and keep sipping.

Hey, don't stress too much about this! Lemon juice is actually pretty great because it has citrate which helps break down small stones. Just squeeze a fresh lemon in normal water and drink it daily, but don't skip your main doctor's treatment, okay?

Actually, my doctor suggested lemon water for my minor stone, but I get really bad acidity whenever I have citrus. Has anyone else felt this burning sensation while trying this? I am so worried if it's doing more harm than good.

Hello, I am new to this group and was just diagnosed with small stones. Is it okay to drink lemon juice with warm water or should it only be cold? Also, do we need to avoid adding salt to it? Sorry if this is a silly question.

Honestly, don't just trust random internet tips for things like kidney stones. Lemon might help with certain types of stones but can aggravate others if you aren't careful. Get a proper ultrasound done and ask your urologist first.

I literally just got cleared of my 4mm kidney stone last month. Fresh lemon juice with lots of water was my daily ritual and it really helped flush it out. But please remember, if the pain gets unbearable, go straight to the clinic instead of waiting for home remedies.
