Is lemon good for kidney stones?

I've had kidney stones in the past, and I'm trying to prevent them from recurring. My doctor advised me to drink plenty of fluids, and I've also heard that lemon water can be helpful. Is lemon good for preventing kidney stones?

I was recently told I have a small kidney stone and someone suggested fresh lemon juice to help dissolve it. Is it safe to drink it daily, and how much should I have? If anyone has tried this, please guide me on how to consume it.

In our yoga classes, we always emphasize natural cleansing of the organs. Lemon contains natural citrate which is highly effective in preventing calcium stones from binding. Practice gentle forward-bending poses and drink fresh lemon water daily to keep your system clear.

Do not rely entirely on internet remedies like lemon water to dissolve kidney stones. While the citrate in lemons does inhibit stone formation, the actual size and type of the stone dictate the treatment. You must get an ultrasound and consult a urologist to ensure it doesn't block your urinary tract.

I got so worried when my brother had kidney stone pain last month and searched everything online. Lemon water is widely recommended because of the citric acid, but please make sure you don't ignore severe pain. If the pain is too high or there is fever, go to the hospital immediately.

Actually, my dad had calcium oxalate stones and his doctor specifically told him to drink fresh lemon water without sugar every single day. It really helped him prevent new stones from forming. Just make sure to drink loads of plain water alongside to flush everything out!
