Is latent tb curable?

My sister was diagnosed with latent TB a few months ago. We are all quite worried about her. Is latent TB something that can be completely cured, or does it stay with you forever?

While eating healthy foods, amla, and fresh ginger can help build your overall immunity, latent TB cannot be cured by home remedies alone. It is a bacterial infection that requires proper medical treatment. Please consult a doctor immediately to get the right course of antibiotics.

I recently tested positive for latent TB and I am feeling very anxious about it. Is it really completely curable with the 3 to 6-month medicine course? Did anyone else here experience any major side effects from the daily preventive pills? Please let me know.

Yes, it is 100% curable, so do not worry at all. I took the preventive treatment for latent TB four years ago after my contact tracing test. The key is to never skip a single dose and avoid alcohol during the treatment as it can affect your liver. Just follow your doctor's schedule strictly.

It is completely treatable with the right medication, but keeping your body healthy is equally important. Just like how I manage my high BP with regular tests and a good routine, you must monitor your health, eat nutritious food, and keep checking in with your doctor during the course.

It is curable, but please be extremely careful. I had some liver issues when I started my preventive medication, so we had to adjust the dosage. Do not try to self-manage or ignore any nausea or yellowing of eyes if you start the treatment; consult a specialist immediately.
