Is kidney stones a disease?

My uncle recently got diagnosed with kidney stones, and he is quite worried about it. I wanted to understand if kidney stones are classified as a disease or more like a condition. Kya yeh serious bimari hai?

I was actually just reading up on this! From what I understand, they are more of a physical condition or mineral buildup in the body rather than an infectious disease. It is basically crystallized waste that the kidneys couldn't flush out properly.

It is technically a medical condition called nephrolithiasis, not a disease in the traditional sense. It happens when certain minerals build up in your urine and form hard deposits. Drinking lots of water and reducing high-oxalate foods is the best way to prevent them.

It is not a disease, but it definitely feels like a punishment for eating too much salty junk and not drinking enough water! It is basically just hard mineral deposits. Think of it as a friendly warning from your body to balance your diet and chug more water.

No, it is a medical condition where mineral deposits crystallize in the kidneys. It is not an illness you can catch, but it can lead to complications if left untreated. Go to a good hospital and ask a urologist clearly about how to manage your specific stone type.

It is a metabolic condition, not an infectious disease. Along with a good diet, staying active and doing regular walks can actually help flush out smaller stones, provided your doctor says it is safe. Just keep moving and stay hydrated!

If it were a disease, I could at least get some proper sick leave! It is just mineral deposits behaving badly in your body. It is painful as hell, but thankfully not a permanent illness.
