Is kidney on left or right side?

I was having a discussion with my friends about body organs, and we got confused about the kidneys. Can someone tell me if the kidney is typically located on the left or the right side of the body? Or is there one on each side?

Humare sharir mein do kidney hoti hain bhaiya, ek baayein taraf aur ek daayein taraf, humari peeth ki haddi ke dono bagal mein. Agar wahan koi dard ho toh dhyan dena chahiye.

Oh God, I was just googling this yesterday because I had a dull ache on my right side and got so scared! Actually, you have one kidney on each side of your spine, just below the rib cage. If you are feeling any weird pain there, please don't stress but do get it checked by a doctor to be safe.

I totally get it, sometimes you feel a random pain in your back and you immediately start wondering which organ is located where. To answer your question, you have one on the left and one on the right, tucked just under your lower ribs. Take care and don't worry too much!

They are actually on both sides, left and right, unless you sold one to buy the latest iPhone! Jokes aside, they sit right below your rib cage on either side of the spine, so any ache back there could be them.

Yes, you have one on each side, but please don't start diagnosing yourself based on where you think your kidneys are. Back pain can be due to a hundred different muscle issues, so get it verified by a doctor instead of guessing.

According to what my physician explained when I had a stone, we have two kidneys, one on each side of the spine. The right kidney is positioned slightly lower than the left because of the space occupied by the liver. They are located deep in the abdomen, closer to your back than your front.

You have kidneys on both sides, left and right, located against your back muscles. The right one is actually slightly lower than the left one to make room for your liver. If you are trying to locate pain, remember that true kidney pain is usually felt deep in your upper back, not lower back.

You actually have two kidneys, so there is one on the left and one on the right side of your spine.
