Is it wrong to sleep with your cousin?

My cousin and I have always been very close, almost like siblings, but lately, some feelings have developed. My friend told me it's totally wrong. Is it wrong to sleep with your cousin?

I totally get that relationships can be complicated. But culturally and even for genetic reasons, sleeping with a cousin is considered taboo and generally inappropriate in Indian society. It can lead to major family and social issues. It's best to avoid it.

Okay, this is a tricky one. Socially, yes, it's generally seen as wrong and very taboo in most Indian families. Legally, I think it depends on specific laws about consanguinity, but culturally, it's a huge no-no. So definitely not something to do if you value family peace.

This is not about diet, but about relationships. In almost all Indian traditions and for many practical reasons, it's considered inappropriate and wrong to have romantic or sexual relationships with cousins. It can create serious problems for both individuals and the entire family. It's best to avoid.

Beyond social and cultural aspects, from a practical and biological standpoint, close familial relationships can carry genetic risks for offspring. It's generally advised against due to potential health implications for any children and significant social repercussions within families.

From a simple, practical point of view, yes, it's very wrong in our society. It will create huge problems for both families, socially and emotionally. It's just not something that is accepted or works out well for anyone involved. So, for your own peace and family peace, avoid it.
