Is it possible to sneeze in your sleep?

My husband often tells me I sneeze in my sleep and it wakes him up sometimes! I find it hard to believe. Is it actually possible to sneeze while you're asleep, or is he just pulling my leg?

Oh, yes! I've totally done that. It's so weird to wake up from a sneeze, and for a second you're like, what just happened? It's like your body is doing things even when your mind is out. Sometimes it would make me feel a bit disoriented, but it's normal.

I've heard people sneeze in their sleep! But if you're doing it often and it's disturbing your rest, it's always best to ask a good doctor. I usually go to Apollo for any health concerns, they give clear answers. Just explain your symptoms clearly to them.

My doctor actually explained this to me! He said that during deep sleep, your body suppresses reflexes like sneezing. But in lighter stages of sleep, or if the irritation is really strong, you can definitely sneeze and it might even wake you up. So yes, it's possible.

Yes, it is possible, though less common in deep sleep. The nasal passages can still react to irritants. Regular practice of Neti Kriya (nasal cleansing) and gentle pranayama can actually help reduce nasal sensitivity and improve overall respiratory health, potentially lessening such occurrences.

I've definitely snorted awake from what felt like a sneeze! I always thought it was just me. So glad to know others experience it too. Makes sense if there's a strong irritant, your body would react even when sleeping.

Yes, it happens! Don't worry too much about it unless it's constant and making you tired. No need to rush for expensive tests right away. Just make sure your bedroom is clean and dust-free; sometimes that helps with nighttime allergies that cause sneezing.

Yes, it can happen. Our bodies still react to strong stimuli even when we're asleep, so a sneeze is definitely possible. It's quite normal.
