Is it possible to have strep throat without a fever?

My throat has been feeling really scratchy and painful for the past couple of days, like strep. But I don't have a fever at all, so I'm a bit confused. Can you really have strep throat without that high temperature?

Dude, for sure! Happened to my roommate last semester. He had a super sore throat, felt like crap, but no fever. Turned out to be strep. So yeah, it's possible.

While fever is a common symptom of strep throat, it's absolutely possible to have it without one. Some people might experience other symptoms like a really bad sore throat, difficulty swallowing, or swollen tonsils. The best way to know for sure is to get tested by a doctor, they can confirm it with a swab.

Yes, it is possible. My neighbour had this situation last year. Sometimes, our body reacts differently. Always good to get checked if you have persistent throat pain, regardless of fever. Early detection is key for many things, just like managing BP with regular checkups.

Hmm, I've heard of cases like that. It's tricky because symptoms can vary so much, just like with PCOS where everyone experiences it differently. If you're worried about strep, please see a doctor. Self-diagnosing can be risky.

Yes, definitely possible. My doctor once told me that not all infections show up with a fever. It's like with thyroid, you can have symptoms without all the classic signs. Always best to do a proper test and follow up with your doctor for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Oh, trust me, don't ignore it. I once had a really bad sore throat with no fever and thought it was just a regular cold. Ended up with a much worse infection because I delayed going to the doctor. Always better to get it checked, yaar, seriously.

Don't worry too much, but also don't ignore it. It's quite common to have infections without the typical fever, strep included. If your throat is bothering you, just get a quick check-up. Better safe than sorry, bhai/behan.

Haan, I literally just recovered from this! Had a killer sore throat, felt so weak, but my temperature was always normal. Went to the doc, got tested, and it was strep. antibiotics fixed it quickly. So yeah, my personal experience says yes!

My son had strep last year and he barely had a fever, more just a really red, painful throat. We almost thought it was just a viral infection. The pediatrician said it's quite common for kids, and sometimes adults too, not to show a high fever. Don't take chances with a sore throat, especially if it's severe.

I can only speak from what I've seen. My cousin had a super bad throat and tested positive for strep, but she never got a high fever. It really depends on the person, I guess. So, if you're feeling unwell, maybe just get a doctor to take a look.
