Is it possible to have pneumonia without fever?

My colleague had really bad chest pain and difficulty breathing last month, but when he went to the doctor, they said it was pneumonia, even though he didn't have a high fever. I always thought fever was a main symptom. Is it possible to have pneumonia without having a fever?

Yes, absolutely! It's called 'walking pneumonia' or atypical pneumonia, and it's quite common. I had it once, just a persistent cough and fatigue, no fever at all. The key is not to ignore a lingering cough or shortness of breath. Get an X-ray if symptoms persist, that's how mine was caught.

Hey, don't stress too much! Yes, it's totally possible. My aunt had pneumonia and never got a fever, just a bad cough and felt really weak. They call it 'walking pneumonia'. So if you're feeling unwell, definitely get it checked out by a doc, even without fever, okay?

It's so confusing and scary when you have symptoms but not the classic ones. Yes, it's very possible to have pneumonia without a fever, which makes it harder to detect and can cause a lot of worry. Your feelings of uncertainty are totally valid. Please talk to a doctor to get clarity and peace of mind.

Oh, absolutely yes! I was diagnosed with pneumonia last year, and I never had a high fever. It was mostly a nagging cough, extreme tiredness, and some chest discomfort. It can be sneaky like that. So if you're having respiratory symptoms, please get a check-up, even without fever.

I made the mistake of thinking 'no fever, no problem' when I had a terrible cough once. Turns out it was pneumonia, and delaying treatment made it much worse. So, yes, it can happen without a fever. Please, don't ignore persistent coughs, shortness of breath, or chest pain. Get a proper checkup.

It's completely understandable to worry about something like this, especially when symptoms aren't typical. Yes, it is possible to have pneumonia, sometimes called 'walking pneumonia,' without a fever. This is why paying attention to other symptoms like persistent cough, fatigue, or difficulty breathing is really important. Don't hesitate to consult a doctor for peace of mind.
