Is it ok to sleep with airpods in?

I like listening to podcasts or music to fall asleep, so I often leave my AirPods in. My sister says it's bad for my ears and brain. Is it okay to sleep with AirPods in every night?

Honestly, I used to do this a lot when I was feeling anxious and couldn't sleep. It felt like a small comfort, but then I noticed my ears would ache in the morning. It's tough when you're struggling to fall asleep, so I get why you'd consider it. Maybe try some calming music on a speaker instead?

As someone who has to be very mindful of my health, especially with my diabetes, I'd say anything that might disturb your sleep quality isn't ideal. Good sleep is crucial for overall health and managing blood sugar. Plus, there's always a small worry about the radiation or pressure on the ear. Better safe than sorry, I feel.

Oh god, I've thought about this too! What if they get stuck? Or worse, what if the constant sound damages your hearing over time? I get really worried about these things. Maybe just a white noise machine or a fan can help if you need background sound to sleep? Don't risk your ears!

Well, from a practical standpoint, there's the discomfort and potential for ear infections or even losing them in bed. And on the health side, some doctors warn about prolonged exposure to electromagnetic waves, though research is still ongoing. Best to consult an ENT or your general physician for a definitive answer, especially if you plan to do it regularly.

It's always good to let the body rest naturally. If you're using them to relax, maybe some soothing bhajans or gentle chants played softly in the room could help you unwind without putting anything in your ears. Focus on positive thoughts and peaceful sleep, my friend.
