Is it ok to sleep on your stomach while pregnant?

I'm pregnant and before I knew it, I was sleeping on my stomach for a few hours. Now I'm worried. Is it safe to sleep on your stomach at all during pregnancy, even early on, or should I be more careful?

Dekho, jab pregnant ho toh pet ke bal sona bilkul theek nahi hai, bhai. Bacche pe pressure padta hai. Side mein hi sona chahiye, doctor bhi yahi bolte hain. Koi risk nahi lena chahiye.

Oh, really? I always sleep on my stomach, so this is new to me. Does it cause harm from the very beginning, or only later? And how do you even manage to sleep otherwise when you're so used to it?

Honestly, for something as important as pregnancy, don't trust random advice. Sleeping on your stomach is almost universally advised against by doctors after the first few months. It's for a good reason, related to blood flow and the baby's safety. Always verify with your actual gynaecologist.

No, it's not safe to sleep on your stomach during pregnancy, especially past the first trimester. Side sleeping is recommended.

Beta, hamare zamane mein toh kehte the, jab pet mein baccha ho toh pet ke bal bilkul nahi sona chahiye. Bacche ko takleef hoti hai. Side mein sona hi achha hai. Ho sake toh, ek pillow pet ke neeche rakh kar so. Yeh purani baatein sahi hoti hain.

I used to be a stomach sleeper too, so I know how hard it is to change! But during pregnancy, it just becomes impossible and not safe. You'll naturally switch to side sleeping as your bump grows. Pregnancy pillows are a lifesaver to help stay comfy on your side!

Just like how doctors advise certain exercises during pregnancy (like walking if allowed), they also advise on sleep positions. Sleeping on your stomach after the initial months isn't recommended as it can impede blood circulation. Stick to side sleeping for better health for both mom and baby.

Hey! Don't stress too much, but sleeping on your stomach during pregnancy, especially after the first trimester, is generally a no-go. It's super uncomfortable and can put pressure on the baby and your blood vessels. Try sleeping on your side with a big comfy pillow!
