Is it ok to sleep on your stomach?
I've always been a stomach sleeper, it's the only way I can properly fall asleep. My husband says it's bad for my neck and back. Is it okay to continue sleeping on my stomach, or should I try to change?

Humare samay mein bhi log pet ke bal sote the. Agar tumhe aaram milta hai aur achhi neend aati hai toh bilkul theek hai. Bas gale mein ya kamar mein dard na ho. Apne sharir ki suno, beta.
Sleeping on the stomach can put a lot of strain on your neck and spine, which can disturb the alignment that we try to achieve in yoga. I find it much better to sleep on my back or side, perhaps with a pillow for support. It helps maintain the natural curves of the spine.
Honestly, I used to be a hardcore stomach sleeper, but it gave me terrible neck pain. Switched to side sleeping with a good pillow between my knees, and it made a huge difference. If you can, try to gradually shift to your side or back. It'll save you from pain later on.
Sleeping on your stomach can sometimes cause digestive discomfort, especially if you've eaten a heavy meal or certain foods. With a balanced vegetarian diet, you want everything to digest smoothly. So, maybe try to avoid it right after dinner? A lighter position might aid better digestion.
While many people find stomach sleeping comfortable, it's generally considered the least ideal position. It can strain your neck and lower back due to misalignment of the spine. If you can, slowly try to transition to side or back sleeping. Consulting a physiotherapist or doctor for posture advice is always a good idea.

A lot of people love sleeping on their tummy! 😊 While some say it's not ideal for the neck and back, if it's super comfy for you and you don't wake up with pain, then why not? Maybe use a flat pillow or no pillow to reduce neck strain. Sweet dreams! ✨
My mother always said not to sleep on the stomach, it's not good for digestion, she said. But when I asked my doctor, he said if you are comfortable and don't have any pain, it is okay, but try to use a flat pillow for your head to protect your neck. So, doctor's advice is best, no?
