Is it normal to sweat with a fever?

My daughter has a fever right now and she's sweating a lot. My mother says it's a good sign that the fever is breaking, but I'm not sure. Is it normal to sweat when you have a fever?

Yes, sweating with a fever is quite normal, it's your body trying to cool down. But don't just stop there. I once thought my fever was breaking because of sweat, but I ignored other symptoms and it got worse. Make sure you're resting, drinking fluids, and if the fever persists or gets very high, please see a doctor immediately. Don't be complacent.

Ho na, it's actually a good sign most of the time! It means your fever is trying to break. The body sweats to release heat. Just wipe yourself down, change clothes, and keep drinking warm water or soup. But if fever is too high, or you feel very weak, then doc ko dikha do na.

Haan, totally normal! It means your body is doing its job to bring the temperature down. Just make sure you're drinking lots and lots of water or ORS to stay hydrated, because you're losing fluids with the sweat. And don't forget to change your clothes if they get too wet!

Oh, I totally freaked out the first time I had a high fever and then suddenly started sweating buckets, thinking something was wrong. But then my mom told me it's exactly what's supposed to happen, it means the fever is breaking. So yeah, it's normal, just make sure to keep yourself clean and hydrated.

Yeah, sweating is your body's natural cooling mechanism, so it's normal during a fever. Focus on hydration – electrolytes are key here. Don't try to 'sweat it out' with heavy blankets; keep yourself comfortable. Rest is the best exercise when you have a fever.

Sweating with fever? That's my body's way of telling me it's actually doing something useful for once! Haha. Yeah, it's normal. Just be careful not to get dehydrated, because that's when things get even worse. And trying to sleep when you're all sweaty is a whole other nightmare!
