Is it normal to have stomach pain after sex?

My husband and I recently started trying for a baby, and after intimacy, I sometimes get a slight discomfort or pain in my lower stomach. It's not severe, but it makes me a bit anxious. Is it normal to have stomach pain after sex?

It can be normal due to muscle cramping or position, but if the pain is severe or happens every time, you should consult a gynecologist.

Sometimes it is just a lack of proper lubrication or a simple muscle pull from an uncomfortable angle. Try using a good quality lube next time, keep a pillow for support, and see if that resolves the issue. If it still hurts, don't hesitate to visit a local clinic.

I used to ignore mild stomach pain after intimacy, assuming it was just fatigue, until it turned out to be an ovarian cyst that ruptured. Please don't take this lightly if the pain is deep or throbbing. Go get an ultrasound scan done under a proper doctor's guidance immediately.

Look, minor muscle cramps can happen, but regular pain after sex is definitely not something to sleep on. Don't feel shy or embarrassed to talk about this. Go straight to a good female doctor and get a pelvic scan done to ensure everything is fine inside.

At my stage in life, my body aches even if I laugh too hard, so any physical activity can trigger a muscle cramp. But jokes apart, if your stomach is hurting frequently after intimacy, it is best to get a checkup. Our bodies aren't as young as our minds think they are!
