Is it normal to have fever while pregnant?

I'm in my second trimester and have a slight fever today, along with some body pains. I'm worried about taking any medication. Is it normal to have a fever while pregnant, and what can I do?

During pregnancy, your immunity is naturally lower, so catching a cold or fever is common. However, a high fever can be risky for the baby, so you should never ignore it. Contact your gynecologist immediately for safe medication.

I am sorry you are feeling unwell. Running a fever when you are expecting can be quite stressful, but please rest and stay hydrated. Please call your doctor as soon as possible to get the right advice.

I had a mild fever during my second trimester. Instead of taking any self-prescribed pills, I immediately called my gynecologist, who told me exactly what to do. Sharing this because consulting your doctor is the safest route.

As if pregnancy symptoms weren't already a handful, now a fever wants to invite itself over! It is common to catch bugs since your immunity is low, but please don't play doctor. Give your gynecologist a quick call.

Actually, my doctor explained that a high maternal body temperature, especially in the first trimester, can potentially affect fetal development. Therefore, a fever should always be medically managed by your obstetrician rather than ignored.

I woke up with a warm forehead today and I am so scared for my baby. Did anyone else run a fever during their pregnancy and have everything turn out completely fine? I am calling my doctor right now.

I had a sudden fever last trimester and was so worried! My doctor prescribed pregnancy-safe paracetamol and told me to rest. Please don't worry too much, but definitely get in touch with your doctor today.

Haan na, pregnancy me thoda sa bhi bukhar aaye toh darr lagta hai. Apni immunity low hoti hai toh infection jaldi lag jata hai. Please doctor ko contact kijiye aur apna khayal rakhiye.
