Is it good to sleep with a humidifier?

My nose feels really dry, especially in winter, and I often wake up with a scratchy throat. I was thinking of getting a humidifier for my bedroom. Would it be good to sleep with one on?

I've been thinking of buying one because the winter air here is so dry and makes my throat scratchy. But I'm slightly worried about mold building up inside the machine if I don't clean it daily. Does anyone else get anxious about keeping electrical stuff running all night?

I started using one in my bedroom last year and it has honestly helped my dry skin and chapped lips so much. Just a tip: keep it a few feet away from your bed so the mist doesn't fall directly on your face. It is a great investment for winters!

It is actually very beneficial if you live in a dry climate or use AC all night, as it keeps your nasal passages moist. Just make sure to use distilled water and clean it every 2-3 days to prevent any bacterial growth. If you have chronic asthma, check with your physician before using it.

I totally get it, waking up with a dry mouth and stuffed nose every morning is so annoying and uncomfortable. Using a cool-mist humidifier changed everything for me during the winters. It makes the air feel so much more comfortable to breathe.

If you live in a highly polluted or dry city like Delhi-NCR, a humidifier can really help soothe dry airways. Just buy one with an auto shut-off feature so you don't have to monitor it. It is a quick and effective way to improve your sleep environment.
