My mom always tells me to take off my bra before sleeping, saying it's healthier. I find it more comfortable to sleep with a light one on. Is it actually bad for your health to wear a bra to sleep?

It’s completely a personal choice! 🌸 If you feel comfortable wearing one, just make sure it's a soft, non-wired cotton one so your skin can breathe easily. Sleep comfortably!
In our time, we always preferred sleeping in loose, comfortable cotton nightgowns without any tight clothing. Wearing tight undergarments at night can restrict blood circulation and cause skin irritation. Go for loose, breathable cotton clothes for a peaceful sleep.
Unless you are wearing a very tight or underwired sports bra, it doesn't cause any harm. Personally, I prefer wearing loose clothes at night to help with muscle recovery after my evening runs and gym sessions.
I used to feel so self-conscious and worried about this, thinking it would cause medical issues because of what I read online. Please don't stress over it, there is no medical proof that sleeping in a comfortable bra is bad for you. Just do whatever makes you feel relaxed.
I once ignored a painful lump and skin rash thinking it was just from wearing tight bras to sleep, but it turned out to be a severe cyst infection. If you notice any unusual changes, pain, or skin irritation, please see a gynecologist immediately instead of ignoring it.
