Is it bad to sleep with earplugs?

To block out noise from my noisy neighbours, I sometimes use earplugs when sleeping. My cousin warned me about potential ear infections or wax buildup. Is it really bad to sleep with earplugs every night?

With noisy roommates in the hostel, earplugs are my absolute lifesaver! But honestly, sometimes my ears feel super sore and itchy when I wake up. I try to give my ears a break on weekends when the hostel is quieter.

I used foam earplugs for months because of construction noise outside. They work, but you have to change them every few days. Otherwise, they collect sweat and dirt, and you'll end up with a nasty ear ache.

Unless you want to completely miss your morning alarm and blame it on the earplugs, they are fine once in a while! Just make sure you don't shove them in so deep that you need tweezers to get them out in the morning.

Raat ko kaan mein aisi cheezein lagana theek nahi hai, beta. Kaan bhari ho jata hai aur dard bhi ho sakta hai. Koshish karo ki bina iske hi aaram se so jao, sharir ko thoda khula rehne do.

I just recovered from a painful ear infection caused by wearing dirty silicone earplugs for a week. The ENT told me to always wash reusable ones with mild soap and dry them completely. If you feel any blockage, stop using them immediately.

I have lived near busy railway tracks for decades and survived without earplugs. Your mind eventually learns to filter out the background noise naturally. Relying on these plastic plugs all night only makes your ears sensitive and prone to pain.
