Is it bad to sleep with a heated blanket?

During winters, I love using a heated blanket to keep warm, it's so cozy. But I've heard some people say it's not good for you to sleep with it on all night. Can it be harmful in any way?

Please be careful with keeping it on all night. I used to ignore the slight skin irritation it caused, thinking it was just dry winter skin, but it turned into a nasty burn. If you feel any weird numbness, skin redness, or pain, please go get it checked by a doctor immediately instead of ignoring it like I did.

At my age, my back aches constantly, and this blanket feels like a blessing in winters. But honestly, sleeping with it on all night makes me feel like a tandoori chicken by 3 AM! It is much better to just use it to warm the bed for 15 minutes before you sleep and then turn it off.

It is super cozy during chilly nights, but leaving it on all night can really dehydrate you! I usually set a timer for 30 minutes so it shuts off automatically. Sleeping in natural warmth is much better for your skin too!

Hey, don't stress too much about it! It is totally fine to use it as long as you don't keep the heat setting too high. Just turn it off before you actually fall asleep so you don't overheat, and you will have a perfect cozy sleep.

Listen, there is no need to keep the power running on a heated blanket the whole night, it is not safe. Just pre-heat your bed, switch the plug off completely, and then use your normal rajai. Simple, safe, and saves electricity bill too.
