Is it bad to sleep with a fan on?

It gets really hot and humid here, so I always sleep with the fan on full blast. My mother believes it can make me sick or stiffen my muscles. Is it genuinely bad for health to sleep with a fan running?

Honestly, I used to do this every single night until my throat started drying up badly. When I went to Apollo for my regular checkup, the doc told me the dry air from the fan directly on the face can irritate your sinuses. It is always better to ask your doctor directly if you have any breathing issues or allergies before keeping it on high speed all night.

It is not a big deal at all, literally everyone in Mumbai sleeps with a fan on because of the heat. Just don't keep it at speed 5 pointing directly at your face if your throat gets dry. Keep it at a moderate speed to circulate the air and you will be absolutely fine.

I can't even enjoy my late-night biryani and sleep peacefully without the fan on full blast! But yes, sometimes the cold breeze makes my throat a bit itchy in the morning. I just drink a warm glass of water right after waking up to settle it down.

Sleeping with a fan is generally harmless, but it can circulate dust and pollen which might trigger asthma or dry eyes. If you are experiencing persistent congestion, consulting a general physician is the best way forward. They can help you figure out if the fan is actually causing your symptoms.

Haan na, bina fan ke toh humein neend hi nahi aati garmi mein. But sometimes it makes the skin so dry. Just keep the fan slightly away from your bed so the direct air doesn't hit your face all night, it helps a lot.

I manage my diabetes very strictly with diet and exercise, and getting good sleep is crucial for my blood sugar levels. If a fan helps you sleep better and keeps you cool, it is good, but make sure the room isn't dusty. Poor sleep due to discomfort can sometimes spike your morning sugars, so stay comfortable.

I need a cool room to recover after my daily 5k runs and gym sessions, so the fan is always on. Just ensure you are staying hydrated throughout the day to counter any drying effects. If you feel any muscle stiffness in the morning, light stretching or a brisk walk usually clears it right up.
