Is it bad to sleep on a concussion?

I had a minor concussion from playing sports yesterday. The doctor said to rest, but a friend told me it's dangerous to sleep with a concussion. Should I try to stay awake?

This is a serious matter. The old advice of never letting someone sleep after a head injury is mostly outdated, but you must get them evaluated by a doctor first. If they are showing signs of confusion, vomiting, or unequal pupils, they need immediate medical attention at an ER.

While we joke about head bumps in Bollywood movies, a real concussion is no joke! Don't just tuck them in and hope for the best. Go get a doctor to check them out first, then they can sleep as much as they want while you play nurse.

Actually yaar, head injuries are super unpredictable. You shouldn't just let the person sleep off a concussion without a doctor's green light because of internal bleeding risks. Go to the nearest clinic and get it checked first, safety first always!

My son had a minor fall during cricket and we let him sleep. He woke up vomiting and we had to rush to the hospital with internal swelling. Please do not take head injuries lightly; get a CT scan or medical checkup done immediately before letting them sleep.
