Is it back pain or kidney pain?
For a few days now, I've had a dull ache in my lower back. How do I know if this is just regular back pain or if it could be something serious like kidney pain?

Kidney issues can sometimes be linked to high blood pressure, so you have to be very careful. Kidney pain is usually felt higher up on your back, under the ribs, and is a dull, constant ache. Please go get a urine test and kidney function checkup from a doctor instead of guessing.
Hey, don't stress too much, buddy. Normal back pain usually changes when you move or stretch, but kidney pain stays constant no matter how you sit. If it is accompanied by fever or burning when you pee, let's get it checked by a doc immediately.
Muscular back pain often improves with gentle stretching or light walking. However, if it is kidney pain, exercise won't help and you might feel nauseous or feverish. If the doctor says it is safe and just a muscle strain, you can start light physical activity.
It can be confusing to tell the difference. Kidney pain is typically deep and one-sided, while muscular back pain is lower down. Please drink plenty of water and see a physician if the pain is severe.
