Is it a heart attack or anxiety?

Sometimes I get sudden chest pain and feel breathless, but then it goes away. How can I tell if it's a heart attack or just anxiety? I get really scared each time.

I get these sudden chest tightness and heavy breathing sometimes when I am stressed. Is there a simple way to know the difference between the two while sitting at home? I am always too scared to ask my parents about this.

Anxiety can definitely mimic a heart attack with chest tightness, but if you have pain radiating to your left arm, jaw, or heavy sweating, that is a major red flag. Keep your diet clean and cardio regular to keep your heart strong. But please, if you are feeling serious chest pain right now, go get checked at a clinic immediately.

If you are having sudden chest discomfort, difficulty breathing, or severe sweating, do not waste time reading articles or guessing. Go straight to the nearest hospital emergency room. An ECG takes five minutes and can literally save your life.

Let's be very clear: never assume severe chest pain is just anxiety. If you have shortness of breath, dizziness, or pressure in your chest, you need to go to the hospital right now. It is always better to have a normal ECG and be safe than to ignore a real cardiac event.

Hey, don't stress too much, but please don't take any chances with chest pain either, okay? If you are feeling really unwell, let's go to a doctor right away to get it checked out. I am here with you, just take it easy.

I completely understand how terrifying this is; panic attacks make you feel like you are literally dying of a heart attack. The fear is so real and overwhelming. But because the symptoms are so similar, you must see a doctor to rule out any heart issues first so you can finally have peace of mind.

Regular physical activity like walking helps lower daily anxiety levels and keeps your cardiovascular health in check. However, if you are experiencing active chest pain or trouble breathing, do not attempt any exercise. Stop immediately and get evaluated by a medical professional.

I overthink every single minor pain in my chest and immediately Google if it is a heart attack, which only increases my panic. It is an awful cycle of anxiety. Please, for your own safety and sanity, visit a doctor and get a proper checkup done so you don't keep worrying.
