Is intermittent fasting good for pcos?

I have PCOS and have been struggling with weight gain and irregular periods. My nutritionist suggested trying intermittent fasting. Is intermittent fasting actually beneficial for managing PCOS symptoms?

At this age, keeping up with these fancy fasting windows is exhausting! My daughter tried it for her PCOS and it helped her weight, but she was so grumpy during the fasting hours. Honestly, consult a gynecologist first before you stop eating for half the day.

My sister has PCOS and she tried intermittent fasting last year. It actually helped her insulin levels and weight, but she had to be very strict with her clean eating too. You can't just fast and then eat junk during the open window, that ruins everything.

Please don't try to self-treat your PCOS with internet diet trends. I ignored my irregular periods for years and tried random fasts, which only messed up my hormones even more. Go get a proper pelvic ultrasound and blood tests done under a doctor's guidance first.

I have PCOS too, and intermittent fasting really helped me manage my stubborn weight and bloating. But I noticed that if I do more than 14 hours, it stresses my body out and delays my cycle. Start slow, listen to your body, and definitely keep your doctor in the loop.

PCOS is basically a hormonal imbalance caused by modern lifestyles. While light fasting can give your digestive system rest, you must also focus on home habits like having warm fenugreek seed water in the morning. Please do visit a lady doctor to get a correct diagnosis before starting anything strict.
