Is insulin resistance the same as diabetes?

My brother was told he has insulin resistance, and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes a few years ago. Are these two conditions the same, or is there a distinction between insulin resistance and diabetes itself?

Nope, they are not the same! Think of insulin resistance as a wake-up call to change our habits before diabetes actually sets in.

They are different. Just like high BP is a warning sign for heart health, insulin resistance is a warning for sugar. Keep checking your levels and maintain a clean lifestyle.

No, they are different. Insulin resistance means your body is struggling to use insulin. If you ignore it, it becomes diabetes. Simple as that.

They are different stages. You can easily combat insulin resistance by adding 45 minutes of daily brisk walking and resistance training to your routine.

No, beti, they are not the same. In our family, we use methi seeds soaked in water to help with insulin issues, but do keep showing your doctor.

I had insulin resistance twenty years ago and managed to prevent diabetes entirely. Don't worry, with proper discipline and time, you can stay healthy.

Stay positive, both are manageable. Insulin resistance is just a phase where your body needs a bit of rest and correct food. Take good care.

One is the trailer and the other is the full movie! Avoid the movie by taking care of the trailer now. They are not the same.

No, they are different. I track my blood glucose spikes on an app, and insulin resistance just means your body is working harder to keep sugars normal.
