Is inflammatory arthritis rheumatoid arthritis?

My mother has been having a lot of joint pain and swelling. Someone told me it might be inflammatory arthritis, but then someone else said rheumatoid arthritis. Are these two terms the same thing, or is there a difference?

I don't know much about the exact medical terms, but my focus is always on avoiding spicy food that flares up joint pain. Rheumatoid is one type, but better to ask a doctor while enjoying some simple home food.

Inflammatory arthritis is a broad term, and rheumatoid arthritis is a specific type under it. My daughter was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis, so I know how confusing these terms are. Please consult a pediatric rheumatologist for clarity.

Keep your mind calm and positive first. Rheumatoid is just one form of inflammatory joint issues, there are others too. Trust the doctors and take good care of your body.

Haan, inflammatory arthritis ke andar hi rheumatoid arthritis aata hai, but both are not exactly same. Apne aap check mat karo na, go to a good doctor and get the blood tests done.

Think of inflammatory arthritis as the main family, and rheumatoid is one member of it. Don't search too much on the internet. Just go to a government hospital or local clinic and get a rheumatoid factor test done.

These medical names are enough to make my head spin along with my knees! Yes, rheumatoid is a type of inflammatory arthritis. Best to let the doctor figure out which specific name our joints have.
