Is inflammatory arthritis considered a disability?

My sister has been diagnosed with inflammatory arthritis and is finding it very difficult to manage her daily life and work. We were wondering if this condition qualifies for any kind of disability benefits or assistance. Is it considered a disability?

It can become very disabling if you don't treat it early. I ignored my joint swelling for months, and now I struggle to walk. Please go to a rheumatologist and get it checked before it worsens.

In our times, we managed joint pains with warm haldi milk and mustard oil massage. But if the inflammation is high, it can stop you from doing daily work. Do try home remedies but keep visiting your doctor.

Yes, severe arthritis can limit daily work, and legally it might be considered a disability depending on severity. Just like I do regular thyroid tests, you need continuous blood tests and doctor follow-ups to manage inflammation.

Sometimes open a bottle of pickle and you feel it is a disability! Jokes apart, yes, it can be quite limiting. But don't let the medical terms scare you, proper treatment works wonders.

Ho na, it is very painful and feels like a disability when joints swell up. Sitting and standing also becomes so difficult. Please consult a good doc and don't take it lightly.

My doctor helped me control the inflammation recently. When it was at its peak, I couldn't even hold a pen, so yes, it felt like a major disability. Don't worry, with proper medication, you can get your life back.

I always worry about these things too, it is so stressful to think about joint issues. If you are struggling with daily tasks, please talk to your doctor. You are not alone, and there is help available.

I can only speak from my own experience with joint pain, which made it impossible for me to work for three months. I had to consult a rheumatologist to get my mobility back. It really depends on how much it affects you.

It can be disabling, but it varies a lot from person to person. I suggest getting a proper medical evaluation and checking with a specialist about the legal definitions and your specific health status.

It is considered a disability if it severely restricts your movement. I have lived with this for 6 years now. The trick is to stay active with low-impact exercises and follow your doctor's medication plan strictly.

Honestly, during bad flare-ups, you can't even climb stairs. Legally getting a disability certificate in India depends on the percentage of joint damage. You should discuss this directly with your doctor.
