Is inactive tb dangerous?

My younger brother was diagnosed with inactive TB some time ago, and he's been on medication. We were told it's not contagious, but I'm still a bit concerned. Is inactive TB something to be worried about in the long term, or is it generally not dangerous once treated?

Haan, darna nahi hai, latent TB dangerous nahi hoti aur auro ko phailti bhi nahi hai. Bas doctor se milkar thoda precautions le lo aur treatment course complete kar lo, simple hai na.

Listen, inactive TB means the bacteria are sleeping in your body. It is not dangerous right now and you cannot pass it to anyone. Just finish the preventive medicine course recommended by your doctor to keep it from waking up.

I completely understand the anxiety when you see a TB-related result. I was so scared when my tests came back, but please know that inactive TB is not contagious and is very treatable.

Yaar, don't stress too much! Latent TB is super common in India and it just means the bacteria is dormant. A simple course of meds will clear it up completely, so chill.

My physician explained that inactive (latent) TB has a 5-10% chance of turning active in your lifetime if your immunity drops. That is why they usually prescribe a short course of preventive antibiotics. It is highly manageable.
