Is iga kidney disease hereditary?

My cousin was recently diagnosed with IgA kidney disease, and our family is quite worried. We were discussing if this condition runs in families. Is IgA nephropathy something that can be inherited?

Usually, it is not considered directly hereditary, though sometimes family clusters are seen. Please consult a nephrologist for the exact details.

Suno, darna band karo. Yeh koi aisi bimari nahi hai jo bache ko pakka hogi hi. Bas apna routine sahi rakho aur regular doctor checkup karwate raho taaki cheezein control mein rahein.

Most cases aren't hereditary, but staying active keeps your overall system strong. If your doctor allows, daily brisk walking and staying hydrated can really help manage blood pressure, which is crucial for kidney health.

My grandmother used to say certain body types pass down issues, but our family doctor reassured us that IgA is rarely hereditary. It is mostly an autoimmune response, so just follow your nephrologist's treatment plan.

I've been managing IgA kidney disease for 6 years now. No one else in my family has it, and my doctor confirmed it is mostly sporadic, not genetic. Focus heavily on low-salt diet and getting your urine protein checked regularly.

I know how stressful it is to worry about passing health issues to family. While IgA is generally not considered hereditary, talking to a specialist will give you the clearest answers and peace of mind.

Chinta mat kijiye, humare padosi ko bhi yahi kidney ki dikkat thi aur unke bache bilkul theek hain. Bhagwan pe bharosa rakhiye aur achhe doctor se ilaaj chalne dijiye.

I am also trying to understand this disease because my uncle was recently diagnosed. Do doctors usually suggest testing other family members if one person has IgA nephropathy?

Beta, genetic links are very rare in this. Focus on keeping your blood pressure in check. Avoid eating too much high-protein or very salty food, as those can strain the kidneys unnecessarily.
