Is hummus diabetic friendly?

My neighbour has diabetes and is always looking for new healthy recipes. I saw a recipe for hummus and thought it looked tasty, but I want to make sure it's diabetic-friendly before recommending it to her. What do you all think?

It's so easy to worry about every single food item when you're managing diabetes, I completely understand that anxiety. But yes, generally, hummus is considered diabetic-friendly! It has fiber and protein that helps keep blood sugar steady. Just be mindful of the portion size and what you dip in it. That helps calm the mind a bit.

Haan, from what I've seen and read, hummus is quite good for diabetics. It's made from chickpeas, which are full of fiber, and that helps with sugar control. We try to make it at home so we can control the oil and salt. It's a much better option than many other snacks, practical and tasty. Pair it with cucumber or carrot sticks.

Haan bhai, hummus generally diabetic friendly hota hai. Chickpeas se banta hai na, toh fiber aur protein accha milta hai. Blood sugar spike nahi karta jaldi. Bas dekhna, agar readymade le rahe ho toh sugar aur salt zyada na ho. Aur portion control toh sabse important hai.

As someone managing diabetes, I find hummus to be a great option. The chickpeas are rich in soluble fiber, which is crucial for blood sugar control. It also provides protein. I always choose homemade or check labels carefully for added sugars or unhealthy oils in store-bought varieties. Portion control is key, but it's definitely a beneficial food.

Beta, hummus, if made correctly with chana (chickpeas), can be good. Chana is good for the body, gives strength, and fiber. Just be sure to not add too much oil, and avoid eating too much with maida roti. A little bit with fresh vegetables, that is wise. But always listen to your doctor first.

Absolutely, most health apps and dietitians recommend hummus as a diabetic-friendly food. It's packed with fiber and protein from chickpeas, which helps regulate blood glucose levels. The healthy fats from tahini and olive oil also contribute. Just log your portion size and what you pair it with for optimal tracking!

Yeah, hummus is a solid choice for diabetics. It's got a good macro profile with healthy fats, protein, and complex carbs from the chickpeas. That means slower digestion and stable blood sugar. I'd pair it with raw veggies for added fiber and volume. Good for satiety too, helps keep those cravings in check during a cut.
